Europeans win Cottonwood Cup

TORRINGTON – The European team, captained by Dave Zimmerer defeated the American team, captained by Pete McGinley, 12.5-7.5 in a shortened version of the 11th annual Cottonwood Cup.

Due to the weather, Saturday’s 36-holes were canceled and all that was played was 18-holes of individual match play on Sunday.

The victory was the seventh for the European team.
