JACKSON – The Torrington Tigers American Legion baseball team closed out its season with two loses at the Legion ‘A’ South District Tournament in Jackson last weekend.
The Tigers, 8-21, dropped its first game to the Jackson Giants 29-4 Wednesday night while losing 14-7 to the Green River Knights Thursday in an elimination game.
On Thursday, the Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 second-inning lead before surrendering five runs in the third.
Green River never relinquished the lead en route to the seven-run victory.
