Twisters set for nationals

COLUMBUS, Wis. – Fourty-seven teams are in Columbus, Wis., today for the 16-and-under Northern Nationals Division ‘B’ Tournament in that opens today.

The Torrington Twisters are paired with the Roselle (Hanover Park, Ill.) Rockers, the Wisconsin (La Crosse, Wis.) Renegades and the North Oakland (Pontiac, Mich.) Stingers in pool play.

Teams from Kansas, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Missouri make up the rest of the field.

The Twisters open pool play at 8 a.m. today against Roselle and will play again at either noon if they lose or 2 p.m. if they win.

The tournament runs through Aug. 5.
