TORRINGTON – Graveside funeral services for life-long Torrington resident Dorothy Deborah Rogers, 89, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 11 at Valley View Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been prepared by Colyer Funeral Home.
Those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Eastern Wyoming College Foundation, addressed to Oliver Sundby, Director of Institutional Development, 3200 West C St., Torrington, WY 82240, or to the Waggin’ Tails Animal Shelter, 980 11th Ave. East, Torrington, WY 82240.
Dorothy was born March 9, 1924 in Torrington, the daughter of Claude and Edna Gwendolyn (Stevenson) Campbell. She was raised, educated and worked in Torrington. On June 4, 1955, she married Charles “Chuck” Rogers. The couple remained in Torrington throughout their marriage.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Chuck Rogers of Torrington; a son, Larry Rogers, and his wife Susan of Richland, Wash.; a daughter, Kim Rogers, and her husband Bud Patterson of Torrington; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edythe Lowry.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dorothy’s many friends who have offered their love and support during her illness, the Goshen Care Center, Colyer Funeral Home and Pastor Marty Rostad of Lifeway Church who will conduct the graveside service.
