TORRINGTON Memorial services for Glenda O. Banta, 63, will be held on April 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Life Way Church, 1701 East F St., Torrington, with Pastor Marty Rostad officiating.

Glenda died on March 28, 2013 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Life Way Church in Torrington.

Glenda was born Feb. 18, 1950 in Laramie. She grew up and received her education at Torrington. She then lived in Grant, Neb. for a number of years before returning to Wyoming. She married Jimmie E. Banta, Sr. on Aug. 18, 1980 in Torrington. Glenda worked various jobs over the years, including physical therapy aide and nurse aide, banking, taxidermy shop and homemaker.

Glenda really enjoyed art, and she was a painter and sculptor. She also liked collecting stamps. She enjoyed the outdoors, exploring and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Jim of Torrington; her stepdad, Francis Fales, also of Torrington; two sons, Clay Lee of Sheridan, and Ty Lee of Torrington; a daughter, Amber Wellborn of Casper; a stepson, Jimmie E. Banta, Jr. of Loma Linda, Calif. and a stepdaughter, Sherrie Stark of Canon City, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Odessa Howell of Morrill, Neb. and a brother, David Fales of Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Fales and a nephew, Dee James Fales.
