TORRINGTON Gerald Carl Foldenauer left this world on Nov. 5, 2012. Funeral services will be held Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church.

He was born in Michigan City, Ind. on Sept. 2, 1942, the son of Carl and Stella Foldenauer, who preceded him in death.

He was an educator for 30 years in Minnesota, Idaho and Alaska.

Jerry had a never-ending sense of humor and the ability to see the positive side of all situations. He and his wife Janet enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, and they both taught hunter education courses for over 30 years. They were a team that shared their life in totality.

Surviving also are brothers Dan, Gene, Edward, Donald and Douglas. He has two surviving sisters, Linda Lyons and Gloria Horn. He was preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Timm.

His other families were the Glacier View Alliance Church in Palmer, Alaska and the First Congregational Church in Torrington.

Memorial donations may be sent to his family at 2702 East D Street, to be distributed to the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver for research and the First Congregational Church in Torrington.
