Goshen County Attorney Patrick Korell and his staff at the courthouse have a full plate of felony sentences to handle in the near future.
Four convicted felons are slated to be sentenced on March 17 alone, with crimes ranging from check fraud to delivery of methamphetamines. A jury trial is also currently scheduled for early March.
Additionally, Korell said the state’s new single point of entry process for juveniles has kept the office busy in handling juvenile cases.
Assistant Prosecutor Jeremiah Sandburg joined Korell’s staff last November as the office’s third attorney, and Korell said he has been more than happy to have him on board to help with the workload.
