TORRINGTON – Within minutes of Gov. Matt Mead signing Senate File (SF) 104, which limits the responsibilities of the superintendent of public instruction, into law, Superintendent Cindy Hill presented the governor with legal documents that will challenge the constitutionality of the new law in court.
Forty-eight hours later, Hill’s office in the Capitol’s Hathaway Building had been packed up and moved by the Department of Administration and Information (DIA) to an area of the Barrett Building, which also houses the Wyoming State Museum, State Archives and the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources.
