Local vet to get Bronze Star

CHEYENNE – A local, retired U.S. Army corporal said he’s “humbled” by the upcoming ceremony in his honor.

Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., will present the Bronze Star with a Valor device to retired Cpl. David McKimmey, of Torrington, for bravery while serving in Iraq in 2007. The ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. Thursday at Enzi’s regional office in Suite 2007 at 2120 Capitol Ave. in Cheyenne.
