City becomes an aspiring Main Street Community

The Wyoming Main Street Program has selected Torrington as an entry-level community in its main street revitalization program.

On Friday afternoon representatives from the Wyoming Main Street Program (WMSP) held a public meeting to discuss the program and to welcome the Torrington community as one of the newest members. The WMSP is an economic development program that revitalizes downtown areas with measurable outcomes, according to Mary Randolph, Wyoming Rural Development executive director.
